Main Areas of Responsibility:
- To be accountable for coordinating emergency response, including Hazmat activities on all Teesside Sites
- Document audit trail of day-to-day and emergency actions
- To interface directly with internal and external customers
- Effective communications via telephone and electronic systems
- To interface with external emergency services, regulatory authorities and the local community
- Effective communications via telephone, radio and electronic systems
- To liaise directly with the Falck UK Emergency Control Centre
- Provide a link from the incident scene to ECC
- Supporting ECC in exercise as a communicator
- To have an in-depth knowledge of Control Room equipment and procedures
- Fully competent in all Control Room systems and procedures
- Ensure equipment is available at all times
- Analyse/report faults and carry out appropriate remedial actions
About you
Skills/Qualifications
Essential
- Internal validation of control room equipment and procedures
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office IT packages
- Good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE Grade C or equivalent or above)
- Excellent level of communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Good time manager with tenacity and ability to work under pressure.
- A high concern for standards

- Customer care relations
- Good teamwork skills
Desirable
- Customer care training NVQ level 2
- Hazmat Level 1 training
- Experience in an Emergency Control Room
- SIA License
- Emergency Response experience

What Falck Fire Services UK can offer you:
- Competitive salary of £31,819.51 per anum
- Annual Shift Disturbance allowance of £7,065.22 (Annual benefit time bank of 130hrs - which can be utilised by the company for annual training and short-term absence cover).
- Contractual overtime Requirement, defined as an average of 1 shift per month - OT rate:1.45 and 2.0 on 3 premium bank holidays for non-rostered shifts (Xmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year's Day)
