Security Team Leader Vacancy (North East Sites)

The Security Team Leaders will be based at Wilton but be expected to work across all the Northeast sites. The successful candidates will work a 12-hour shift pattern of 4 on 4 off day shifts. A driving licence is essential for this role. They will report directly to the Security Manager and be responsible for the following:

Key Result Areas

  • Managing all immediate rostering issues 24/7, such as sickness, covering shortfalls and dealing with guards’ requests for shift swap,s changes, etc.
  • Support with Time Gate & Payroll changes and rota loading.
  • Ensuring the rota and changes sheet are correct for pay data to be processed
  • Collecting Gatehouse KPI’s and uploading them to the spreadsheet for monthly reports.
  • Working as part of a team to provide Conflict Resolution assistance at client premises where there is a potential for conflict.
  • Conducting shift handover procedures at the start and end of each shift to ensure all matters of concern are passed on for the purposes of service and incident management continuity.
  • Auditing Security Guards and gatehouses to ensure professional standards are maintained.
  • Presenting a smart, alert, visible and commanding security presence always, at the premises of our clients.
  • ·       Making sure gatehouses are stocked with the relevant paperwork, cleaning products and equipment.

    • Ensuring the safety and security of our client’s buildings and assets by carrying out all duties in adherence with the Site Assignment Instructions.

    ·       Supervising a shift of security guards across all the Northeast Sites.

    ·       Provide mobile security patrolling capability to be used at certain locations.

    ·       Provide short-term security cover at security operations in emergencies.

    ·       Working closely with Site Protection Officers to provide security and road closures at major incidents on site.

  • Assist with security investigations.

About you

Skills/Qualifications

·       Valid Clean Driving Licence

·       Valid frontline SIA Licence

·       Competent in the operation of IT hardware and software packages, eg, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, 

·       Ability to prioritise conflicting business demands

·       Good customer interface skills and commercial awareness

·       Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

·       Excellent organisational skills

·       Good communication – oral/written

·       Good teamwork skills

·       IT and customer service interface skills are essential

 

·       Previously supervisory experience (desirable)

 

The job holder must be capable of communicating to all levels within the company and other external agencies. With experience in the security sector, the person must be self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative. The jobholder must have good English writing skills as a key element of this role is report writing. An in-date SIA license is essential.
